WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senator John Sununu (R-NH) today (9/11) issued the following statement on the seventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks:

“Each anniversary of this devastating attack on America is a solemn occasion for reflection.  Today, seven years later, we direct our thoughts and prayers to the surviving family members and friends of those who perished that day.

“At the same time, we renew our commitment to defending our Nation from those who do us harm. The brave service men and women who battle tyranny and protect our national security deserve our thanks for fighting the war on terror here at home and across the globe.”
