a PTA president, and a school board member.
Today, as I work on education policy in the United States Senate, I
know what’s at stake for our children and our future. I’m
committed to giving our students the resources and support they need
to succeed.
My Education Principles
- Invest in what works. Things like smaller classes, qualified teachers,
and pre-school programs.
- Protect disadvantaged students. Make sure they get the extra help
and support they need.
- Keep taxpayer dollars in public schools which serve all students.
- Give local schools, educators and parents the federal funding and
support they need to educate our children.
- Set high standards and provide the resources so all students can
meet them. It’s not enough to just set goals. We need to give
schools the resources they need to meet those goals.
