Gohmert Introduce CAMPUS Safety Act of 2008 - WASHINGTON, DC - This week, Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA-3) and Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX-1) introduced the Center to Advance Monitor and Preserve University Security (CAMPUS) Safety Act of 2008.  Rep. Scott is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security and also sits on the House Education and Labor Committee.  Rep. Scott to Ethics Committee - WASHINGTON, DC - Representative Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA-3) has been appointed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, commonly referred to as the House Ethics Committee, for the remainder of the 110th Congress.  The vacancy to which Representative Scott was appointed was a result of the untimely death of Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio. ...(more)

09.08.08 | Scott Applauds Legislation Designating the New Richmond U.S. Courthouse for Distinguished Jurists - WASHINGTON, DC - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives considered S. 2403, a bill to designate the new U.S. Courthouse in Richmond, Virginia as the “Spottswood W. Robinson III and Robert R. Merhige, Jr. U.S. Courthouse.”  S. 2403 was introduced by Virginia Senators John Warner and Jim Webb.  The bill passed the Senate on June 24, 2008 and is expected to pass the House at 6:30 p.m. today.  ...(more)
