The House Natural Resources Committee, led by Chairman Nick J. Rahall (D-WV), will meet in open markup session to mark up the following bills:
  • HR 3323 (Capps): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to convey a water distribution system to the Goleta Water District, and for other purposes. "Goleta Water Distribution System Conveyance Act of 2007"

  • HR 2649 (Bilbray): To make amendments to the Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992.

  • HR 4841 (Bono Mack): To approve, ratify, and confirm the settlement agreement entered into to resolve claims by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians relating to alleged interferences with the water resources of the Tribe, to authorize and direct the Secretary of the Interior to execute and perform the Settlement Agreement and related waivers, and for other purposes. "Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians Settlement Act"

  • HR 5618 (Bordallo): To reauthorize and amend the National Sea Grant College Program Act, and for other purposes. "National Sea Grant College Program Amendments Act of 2008"

  • HR 1464 (T. Udall): To assist in the conservation of rare felids and rare canids by supporting and providing financial resources for the conservation programs of nations within the range of rare felid and rare canid populations and projects of persons with demonstrated expertise in the conservation of rare felid and rare canid populations. "Great Cats and Rare Canids Act of 2007"

  • HR 1771 (Baldwin): To assist in the conservation of cranes by supporting and providing, through projects of persons and organizations with expertise in crane conservation, financial resources for the conservation programs of countries the activities of which directly or indirectly affect cranes and the ecosystems of cranes. "Crane Conservation Act of 2007"

  • HR 5540 (Sarbanes): To amend the Chesapeake Bay Initiative Act of 1998 to provide for the continuing authorization of the Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network. "Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network Continuing Authorization Act"

  • HR 3667 (Welch): To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate a segment of the Missisquoi and Trout Rivers in the State of Vermont for study for potential addition to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. "Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild and Scenic River Study Act of 2007"

  • HR 3981 (Brad Miller): To authorize the Preserve America Program and Save America's Treasures Program, and for other purposes. "Preserve America and Save America's Treasures Act"

  • HR 3930 (Pearce): To provide for a land exchange involving State land and Bureau of Land Management land in Chavez and Dona Ana Counties, New Mexico, and to establish the Lesser Prairie Chicken National Habitat Preservation Area, and for other purposes. "Lesser Prairie Chicken National Habitat Preservation Area Act of 2007"

  • HR 5680 (Grijalva): To amend certain laws relating to Native Americans, and for other purposes.
