Doyle Calls for Selling Oil from Strategic Petroleum Reserve | ||
Washington, D.C. – July 11, 2008 – U.S. Representative Mike Doyle (PA-14) made a statement on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives this afternoon calling on President Bush to sell 70 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to lower gasoline prices. Congressman Doyle said "We could have [more] oil in the domestic economy just by releasing 10 percent of the SPRO – without affecting any national security concerns – and gasoline prices could come down." |
