Sen. Hutchison Announces a $300,000 Research Grant for Texas A&M
WASHINGTON -- Texas’ senior Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) today announced that a $300,000 research grant has been awarded to the Texas A&M Research Foundation by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
“These funds will help support efforts at Texas A&M to continue its national leadership in scientific research,” Sen. Hutchison said.
The grant will go to support a project entitled, “Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for PDEs with Heterogeneous Coefficients,” which is under the direction of Professor Jean-Luc Guermond. Dr. Guermond is a professor of mathematics at Texas A&M University.
