Sen. Hutchison Calls Ethics Reform an “Important Step Forward”


WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R–TX) today issued the following statement regarding Senate passage of S. 1, The Honest and Open Government Act of 2007, the Ethics Reform bill:

“There were parts of this legislation that are not what I would have written, but I thought it was an important step forward and we can continue to work for responsible laws of governance.”
