Senator Rockefeller Applauds State Veterans ClinicsI am pleased to announce that both the Parkersburg and Flatwoods VA clinics have expanded to larger facilities. I recently helped mark this important development by participating in the new clinics' ribbon-cutting ceremonies, where I recognized the extraordinary work of clinic employees and spoke with veterans about the essential care they are receiving. Ten years ago, working on the Veterans Affairs Committee, I pushed for VA health reform that promoted the network of community clinics in addition to VA hospitals and Centers of Excellence to modernize VA health care delivery. Since then, veterans clinics have flourished across West Virginia, bringing basic and preventative care closer to veterans' homes. We now have eight clinics in operation and two new clinics on the way in Morgantown and Lewisburg. |
