Vote to End Debate on Immigration Bill - VOTED NAY
On June 28, Senator Dorgan voted against a procedural motion to end debate on S. 1639, the immigration bill. The vote failed by a vote of 46-53. Senator Dorgan opposed the immigration bill that would create a new so-called temporary "guest worker" program that would bring millions of additional immigrants to our country to take jobs in industries where the overwhelming majority of workers are U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.

CLEAN Energy Act of 2007 - VOTED YEA
On June 21, Senator Dorgan voted in favor of H.R. 6, CLEAN Energy Act of 2007, which passed the Senate by a vote of 65-27. This bill takes an important step toward making America more secure by decreasing our dependence on foreign sources of energy by increasing fuel efficiency standards, expanding use of renewable fuels, and protecting consumers from gas price-gouging.

Dorgan Amendment to Immigration Bill - VOTED YEA
On June 6, Senator Dorgan voted in favor of his amendment that he introduced to the immigration bill, Amdt. No. 1316, which would sunset the Y-1 nonimmigrant visa program after a 5-year period. The voted passed by a vote of 49-48.
