Step One of Three

The U.S. Department of Agriculture strives to improve and maintain farm income and to develop and expand markets abroad for agricultural products through farm credit, rural development, and marketing programs. The Department works to curb poverty, hunger and malnutrition. It assists landowners in protecting the soil, water, forests and other natural resources. USDA safeguards and ensures the quality of our food supply through its inspection and grading services.
