Ross, Lincoln, Pryor Announce Rural Development Funds For Dermott

Washington - U.S. Representative Mike Ross (AR-04) along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor Monday announced a $282,750 grant for the city of Dermott to make improvements to its existing wastewater system to increase the efficiency of the treatment process.

“Rural Development Grants are a key source of funding to make infrastructure improvements in our rural communities,” Ross said. “I am proud to join with my colleagues to announce these vital funds to allow the city of Dermott to make these necessary upgrades to their wastewater system.”

“These federal dollars will help provide critical water infrastructure improvements that will support growth in Dermott,” said Lincoln.  “I know that area residents are grateful for these updates to their wastewater system, and I’m pleased that they have received this funding.”

“A clean, reliable source of water is essential for the well being of Dermott residents,” said Pryor.  “It’s also a significant factor for future economic growth and prosperity.  I commend local, state and federal officials for working together to address critical infrastructure needs in the Delta region.”

USDA Rural Development grants support public facilities and services, promote economic development, and offer technical assistance to help address the diverse and unique needs of rural communities.
