Last night, Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Ranking Member Peter T. King (R-NY), Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing, and Terrorism Risk Assessment Chair Jane Harman (D-CA), and Ranking Member David G. Reichert (R-WA), sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, to urge the Department’s cooperation with information sharing programs mandated by law. Specifically, the letter addresses concerns about the Department’s failure to sign and implement a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) needed to implement the Interagency Threat Assessment and Coordination Group (ITACG).
