Congressional Report Finds Administration’s Approach to Border Security Fails to Make America Safer

WASHINGTON — The House Committee on Homeland Security Democratic Staff today issued a report that chastises the Administration’s piecemeal approach to protecting America’s land borders.

“The U.S. Border Patrol: Failure of the Administration to Deliver a Comprehensive Land Border Strategy Leaves Our Nation’s Borders Vulnerable” finds that the Administration’s approach is lacking in several areas: evaluating staffing needs including appropriate levels of support staff, properly deploying state-of-the-art technology; and how this poor approach has led to wellmeaning volunteers carrying out the border enforcement duties.

A copy of the full report is attached.
