Thompson Urges Delay of Acceptance of Project 28

December 6, 2007 (WASHINGTON) – Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) sent a letter to Michael Chertoff, Secretary, Department of Homeland Security regarding the final acceptance of and payment on Project 28, the first operational task order under the SBInet contract with the Boeing Corporation. Chairman Thompson expressed concern over whether Project 28 will function as originally promised or provide new capability to the Border Patrol. A link to the letter is below.
