Issues & Legislation
Since first being elected in 1992, Rep. Eshoo's priorities have remained the same ... a sound economy, a world-class education system, a preserved and protected environment, responsible national fiscal policies, a health care system which works for everyone and policies to foster growth in technology and biotechnology through the advancement of basic research and science.

From her position on the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Eshoo is able to affect legislation on many issues of great importance to her constituents and to the nation, including Medicare, Medicaid, telecommunications, energy, the Internet, health-based environmental laws, children's health, biotechnology, high technology, water resources, bioterrorism, homeland security, interstate commerce, gun safety, consumer protection, and food and drug safety.
