WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman John F. Tierney (D-Salem) joined other New England lawmakers in a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman to discuss proposed LNG terminals in the New England region. At the conclusion of the meeting, he released the following statement:

“For years, I have been advocating for a comprehensive study of our region’s need for LNG before we hastily decide to build additional LNG facilities. It is our hope that after our meeting with Secretary Bodman, he will initiate a thorough regional analysis.”
