The Subcommittee on Health met in open markup session and took the following actions:

H.R. 2851, a bill to amend the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Public Health Service Act, and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to ensure that dependent students who take a medically necessary leave of absence do not lose health insurance coverage, and for other purposes, or "Michelle's Law", was favorably forwarded to the full Committee, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendment was offered:

An amendment offered by Rep. Pallone, #1, was agreed to by voice vote.

H.R. 6432, the "Animal Drug User Fee Amendments of 2008" was favorably forwarded to the full Committee by a voice vote.

No amendments were offered.

H.R. 6433, the "Animal Generic Drug User Fee Act of 2008" was favorably forwarded to the full Committee by a voice vote.

No amendments were offered.
