The Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection met in open markup session on Thursday, November 15, 2007, and took the following action:

H.R. 4040, the "Consumer Product Safety Modernization Act", was favorably forwarded to the full Committee, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

A Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Rush, #1, was adopted, amended, by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Ms. Schakowsky, #1A, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Terry, #1B, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Markey, #1C, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Towns, #1D, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Terry, #1E, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Ms. Schakowsky, #1F, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Markey, #1G, was withdrawn;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Burgess, #1H, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Manager's Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Burgess, #1I, was withdrawn.
