How Can I Help?

What Mike Can Do To Help

Grant applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements for many programs, and I can be of assistance to ensure these requirements are met.  It is the applicant's responsibility to write the grant proposal and meet all deadlines.

I encourage applicants to contact my office for assistance.  I can write letters on behalf of a grant application to alert agencies of my support of a project.  For a letter of support, the following information is needed:

  • Name of applicant.
  • Address of agency and contact person at the agency.
  • Contact person and telephone number for the project.
  • Name of grant for which you are applying and CFDA number.
  • Name of your project.
  • Deadline for the letter of support. (Please allow 10 business days.)
  • Project summary that includes a comprehensive description of the project.
  • Letters of support will be mailed directly to the Agency.  Copies can be provided for your records.

In addition, your request for a letter of support should highlight:

  • What your project/program does and who it serves.
  • Why this program is important to your community.
  • Any unique features of your program/project.
  • The specifics of how the grant money will be used.

You may fax your request to the attention of T.J. Lee at (202) 225-1314, or mail it to:

Congressman Mike Ross

I will work on your behalf to obtain federal funding, but please be aware that my support does not guarantee approval from a federal agency.
