LATTA CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE PASSAGE OF PROTECT AMERICA ACT
Latta Denounces Democrat Leadership Failure to Pass Needed Revisions to FISA

Washington, DC --   Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) made the following statement after the House went into recess Thursday evening without passing the Protect America Act. 

“It is a sad state of affairs when the Democrat leadership in the House spends its last two days of session before the President’s Day recess on partisan politics instead of passing  legislation necessary to keep our country safe.  In less than 48 hours, our intelligence community will lose their ability to monitor terrorist activity and intercept possible threats against our freedom.”

“I applaud the Republican leadership for standing up to the political stunts displayed by the Democrat leadership today and again call for immediate passage of the Protect America Act.”
