Second Chance Act
The Second Chance Act, signed into law on April 9, 2008, will assist federal, state and local governments in providing inmates with the tools they need to successfully reintegrate into the community upon their release.

Biden Introduces College ACCESS Act to Cover Average Cost of Two-Year Public College and Half of Average Cost of Public Four-Year College for Most Families

Senate Floor Schedule
The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and resume consideration of S. 3001, the Defense Authorization bill. There will be no roll call votes during Monday's.
As a reminder, on Friday, Senator Reid filed cloture on the Defense Authorization bill. Senators have until 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, to file germane first degree amendments. Further, the cloture vote will occur during Tuesday's session.
