July 9, 2008 (WASHINGTON) - Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) wrote a letter to W. Ralph Basham, Commissioner of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regarding concerns over the search and seizures of laptops and other personal property at the nation's ports of entry.
