  • Secured $9.4 Million for massive traffic alleviation projects surrounding Co-op City, including the construction of a collector-distributor road along I-95 from Westchester Avenue to Bartow Avenue; development of a northbound exit and southbound entrance ramps from Hutchinson River Parkway to Bartow Avenue to improve access; and capital improvements for pedestrian and vehicular access throughout Bay Plaza and Co-op City


  • Ensured that the U.S. Post Office completed window replacement at the Dreiser Loop Post Office


  • Brought over $2.2 Million into the Co-op City Community School District to improve local educational facilities and programs


  • Urged the creation of a 45th Precinct office in Co-op as well as the deputization of Co-op Security as Full Police Officers to battle crime and quality of life offenses


  • Delivered $10,000 to the National Council of Negro Women Co-op City, including $5,000 for their tutoring program


  • Brought $48,500 to Truman High School for facility renovations to the television/radio studio


  • Worked with community officials for the smooth transition of the programs of Gloria Wise


  • Won $99,410 in federal funding for Gloria Wise to establish a permanent Senior Citizen Center in Co-op City, which is home to the largest naturally occurring retirement community (NORC) in the United States with well over 8,300 residents above the age of sixty


  • Secured $250,000 in Federal funding for the UJA-Federation of New York, Jewish Association for Services for Aged (JASA) for Co-Op City, Bronx, New York's Gloria Wise Senior Services Program to develop a pilot program to provide effective and sufficient services for seniors and their caregivers who are struggling with Alzheimer's and other dementias to remain living on their own


  • Worked to ensure safe, new buses with fair fares as the private bus lines that serve this community are brought under the MTA


  • Donated computers and software to a number of Bronx community groups, including the Co-op City United Methodist Church
