The United States Senate Youth Program is a national initiative to provide a yearly opportunity for talented young people with demonstrated interest in public service to deepen their interest and understanding of America's political processes and encourage their commitment to political leadership. The program brings the highest-level officials from each branch of government together with two high school juniors or seniors from each of the fifty states. Each student delegate will spend the week of March 1-8, 2008, in Washington, D.C. and will receive a one time $5,000 undergraduate scholarship to the college or university of his or her choice. Arkansas' deadline for application to the program is October 5, 2007. Please click on this link for additional information on the program.
