Internships

Senator Domenici offers internships in his Washington, DC Office year round. Internships are an excellent way to get a first hand look at how the United States Senate operates. They can be challenging, educational and fun. The program is intended to provide an overview of how a congressional office operates and the legislative process.

Intenship Sessions

The Senator has four internship sessions: fall, spring and two summer sessions.

Fall/Spring Internships
During the non-summer months, there are a limited number of interns who work in the Washington office.

Summer Internship Opportunities
The summer program consists of two six week sessions:

  • End of May through the end of June
  • July through mid August

Requirements for Internships

Must have completed at least one year of study in an institution of higher education. New Mexico residents and/or students receive priority in the selection process.
