WASHINGTON - Ever go to Washington seeking time with your congressman or senator and finding yourself getting nowhere?
Brian Johnson, president of the National Federation of the Blind of Illinois, had requested a meeting with Illinois Senator Barack Obama. He wanted to discuss issues of interest to his group.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Obama could not be there.
But tonight, Obama will be with Johnson, as the freshman senator's guest at President Bush's State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress.
An Obama spokesman says the senator invited Johnson to make up for the fact that they were unable to find a time to talk.
