I and other members of our Congressional Delegation met with approximately 75-85 people about the fires burning in Idaho. We spoke with mostly ranchers from the area and answered their questions about fire policy.

Ranchers are some of our best land stewards and gave us valuable input about what can be done to improve the situation on the ground. It is clear from the billowing smoke in the air that our current policy of management by lawsuit is broken and needs to be fixed.
