NATIONALLY SYNDICATED RADIO HOST TOM JOYNER TO TESTIFY BEFORE COMMITTEE ON HOUSE ADMINISTRATION

Washington, DC (April 4th, 2008) Nationally syndicated radio personality Tom Joyner will testify before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on House Administration on Wednesday, April 9th. The hearing will focus on lessons learned during the first part of the 2008 Election Primary season and will allow Members to hear from witnesses who have first hand polling place experience.

“As elected representatives, we must make every effort to ensure that eligible voters are able to exercise their right to vote. Mr. Joyner has been a strong advocate for voter enfranchisement on a national level,” said Committee Chairman Robert A. Brady. “His development of a national hotline that allowed his extensive listener base to highlight their polling place experiences makes him an important resource. I look forward to his testimony and that of the other witnesses who will share their insights,” Brady added.

Joyner’s top-rated morning show is syndicated in more than 115 radio markets throughout the U.S. His program reaches more than 8 million listeners each week. Joyner has been a leading advocate on issues such as education, social justice and economic empowerment. He is considered one of the country’s most influential voices.

The hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 11:30am in the Longworth House Office Building, Room 1310, in Washington, DC.
