ENERGY AND COMMERCE REQUESTS INFORMATION FROM FDA ON CONTRACT
Washington, D.C. - The bipartisan leaders of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce today released a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding an inquiry into one of the agency's contracts.
The Committee on Energy and Commerce and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will be conducting an inquiry into possible conflicts of interest regarding the FDA's contract with Platinum Solutions of Reston, Va. Committee Chairman John D. Dingell (D-MI), Ranking Member Joe Barton (R-TX), Oversight and Investigations Chairman Bart Stupak (D-MI), and Subcommittee Ranking Member Ed Whitfield (R-KY) have asked for all files relating to the Office of Internal Affairs (OIA) investigation into the role of Margaret "Margo" Burnette and the employment of her husband, Mark A. Boster at Platinum Solutions.
