Issues & Legislation - Issue - Commerce and Trade

I want to help North Carolina’s economy grow again by investing in our community colleges, by bringing more transportation dollars to our state, by vigorously promoting information technology, by opening markets for our farmers, by reducing taxes, by freeing entrepreneurs and small business from strangling red tape – by helping small businesses create new and better jobs!

As our traditional manufacturing industries face hardships, it is important that we work for a trade environment in which our manufacturing industries can compete. Illegal textile transshipments and furniture dumping must be stopped, and fair trade practices must be enforced. We must ensure that our workers and farmers and North Carolina’s industries get the full benefit of trade bargains.
