Hurricane Ike - Update

In the aftermath of this devastating hurricane I want residents to know that the full resources of my congressional office are at your disposal as we work together to rebound from the storm.

If you have suffered loss of or damage to your property, you can begin filing for federal disaster assistance today by registering with FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362) or visiting http://www.fema.gov/assistance. Please have your insurance information ready.

If you need immediate assistance, call the Texas Operations Center at 512-424-2208 or  the American Red Cross at 713-313-1669 (Harris), 409-945-7200(Galveston), 281-756-1503(Brazoria) or 281-342-9480(Fort Bend County).

For other questions, if you reside in Galveston County, please call Galveston County Emergency Management 24-Hours at: 888-384-2000. If you reside in Harris County, please call Harris County Emergency Management at 713-881-3100 or the Harris County Sherriff’s Department at 713-221-6000. For Pearland residents please call Pearland Emergency Management at 281-652-1950. For Fort Bend County, please call 281-342-6185.

For price gouging please call 1-800-621-0500 for the Texas Attorney Generals office. For instances of gas gouging please call 800-244-3301.

Please note:

Currently, evacuated residents are urged NOT to return to their homes until the area is cleared.

Food, ice and water pods will soon be more widely available in disaster affected regions of southeast Texas.  For access to food please call the Red Cross at 713-881-3129.
