Biography

State Representative Drew Springer represents House District 68 which stretches as far East as Cooke County, as far West as Crosby County, as far North as Wheeler County and as far South as Fisher County. HD68 contains a total of 22 counties and if it were a state it would be 42nd largest in the union

Drew is a Christian and lifelong conservative Republican. He believes that the government has become too large at both a national and state level, over burdening our lives with excessive regulations that destroy our freedoms, slow our growth, and drive up the cost of living. He believes that the government does not have a revenue problem but a spending problem, and he will be a leading voice of in favor of spending cuts over tax increases.

As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, Drew will fight to decrease the limitations on law-abiding gun owners that restrict them from being able to protect themselves and their loved ones. Drew believes that life begins at conception and will support all measures to eliminate or limit abortion in the State of Texas.

Drew has been married to his wife Lydia for 21 years and feels blessed to live in Muenster, the same small town where Lydia was born and raised. Drew and Lydia are excited that their three children get to enjoy the same small-town values and experiences they each did while growing up.

After graduating from Weatherford High School, Drew graduated the University of North Texas, earning a bachelors degree in accounting. He spent fifteen years working in Texas for a railcar company where he worked as an accounting, leasing VP, and president of three divisions. Drew has had over 1,000 employees work for him and hundreds of millions in sales. He left to join his father’s financial services company where he has specialized in Agricultural managed futures for the last eight years.

Drew gives back to the community where he has been a volunteer fireman for six years. His other volunteer activities include: Knights of Columbus events, both Muenster booster clubs, Cub Scouts, coaching high school tennis, guest speaker at UNT Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship, and various other activities.

Drew has been endorsed by numerous groups including: Texas Right to Life, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Conservative Republicans of Texas, Young Conservatives of Texas and Concerned Women for America. He has also been endorsed by numerous individuals including: Kelly Shackelford (Liberty Institute), Cathy Adams (Texas Eagle Forum) and David Barton (Wall Builders).
