BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ A swim coach has been arrested on charges that he sent sexually explicit text messages to a 13-year-old girl on his team in Bridgeport.
Twenty-eight-year-old Alan Marcel of Norwalk is charged with risk of injury to a minor and enticing a minor.
He was arraigned Thursday and held in custody on $10,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
Authorities say the texts were discovered by the girl’s mother, who alerted officials with the Park City Wolfpack Swim Team. (© Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
