Flags To Fly At Half-Staff For Pearl Harbor Memorial Day

(CBS Connecticut) – Governor Malloy has directed U.S. and Connecticut state flags be flown at half-staff Sunday, to mark Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. December 7 marks the 73rd anniversary of the attack on the U.S. Pacific fleet and the U.S. entry into World War II.
The governor issued a proclamation observing Pearl Harbor Day, saying he and the lieutenant governor pay tribute to the past and offer their thoughts and prayers for members of the military who are currently deployed.
There will be a ceremony marking the anniversary at 12:30 p.m. at the National Iow Jima Memorial on the New Britain-Newington line.
