Dogs That Attacked Woman Could be Euthanized

 PLAINFIELD, Conn. (AP) _ Plainfield police intend to euthanize six dogs after several of them attacked a 56-year-old woman this week, but the owner has two weeks to appeal the decision to the state Department of Agriculture.
Authorities say Lynn Denning of Canterbury was mauled by several of the dogs Wednesday at the home of an elderly patient for whom she cares. Officials say Denning is in fair condition at Hartford Hospital with injuries to her face, arms, legs and chest.

Police seized five Rottweilers and a Labrador retriever that are now quarantined at the local animal shelter.

Police Chief Michael Surprenant says it’s not clear which dogs attacked Denning, so he says all of them should be put down.
It’s not clear whether the dogs’ owners will appeal.
