Marble Falls tennis loses to Cedar Park and Dripping Springs

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School tennis team suffered back-to-back losses to Cedar Park, 7-10, on Sept. 24 and Dripping Springs, 6-10, on Sept. 23. Marble Falls head coach Jeff Savage said the Mustangs played well despite the defeats.

Construction on courts to start at Granite Shoals tennis center

JENNIFER FIERRO • PICAYUNE STAFF GRANITE SHOALS — Construction on two full-size tennis courts can begin next week thanks to a $64,000 matching grant from the Roddick Youth Tennis Foundation to the city of Granite Shoals. Officials with the foundation presented the check to the city council during its meeting Sept. 23.

Marble Falls tennis loses to district contest to Vista Ridge

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School tennis team lost 10-9 to Cedar Park Vista Ridge on Sept. 12. Marble Falls (1-2 in District 25-5A) earned its ninth point when McKenzey Fox won her singles match with two matches remaining.

Marble Falls team tennis squad gets district win over Leander

LEANDER — The Marble Falls High School tennis team stunned Leander 10-8 in its second District 25-5A matchup of the season Sept. 9. The overall win came down to AnneClaire McCannon’s match. She came back to win in a tiebreaker after dropping the opening set.

Mustang Conditioning program designed to strengthen body and mind, coach says
