FROM STAFF REPORTS JOHNSON CITY — Pedernales Electric Cooperative officials are warning the public regarding a phone scam targeting members in which the caller threatens to cut off the individual’s electricity unless an “immediate payment” is made. The call, PEC officials said, is from a person posing as a PEC employee.

FROM STAFF REPORTS MARBLE FALLS — Power was restored to much of Marble Falls and Meadowlakes about 7:40 a.m. April 15 after an outage. Pedernales Electric Cooperative crews switched to generator power to operate the substation in the 2600 block of RR 1431 West of Marble Falls.
