Burnet, Marble Falls golfers compete at junior golf association tourney

BURNET — The Burnet and Marble Falls high school golf teams competed at the Burnet Junior Golf Association tournament Oct. 17-18. The Lady Dawgs shot a 391-417–808 for sixth place. Marble Falls did not earn a team score, but head coach Lonnie Tackitt saw a lot from his golfers.

Charlie Dawn Campbell golf tournament fundraiser seeking players and sponsors

BURNET — The second annual Charlie Dawn Campbell Fundraiser Golf Tournament is set for Sept. 6 at the Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course. Campbell was injured in a 2013 all-terrain vehicle accident on a Burnet County ranch. She suffered paralysis and requires continued medical and rehabilitation care.

Young Marble Falls golfer’s 5-birdie game wins title

JENNIFER FIERRO • PICAYUNE STAFF THE WOODLANDS — Marble Falls Middle School golfer Macy Fox captured the South Texas PGA Junior Championship on Aug. 14 by winning the girls 10-12 division. Fox shot a 75-69–144 for the victory. She recorded five birdies in the second round.
