Shooting occurred outside a Subway in Plano.

A man was shot and killed outside a sandwich shop in Plano on October 30 after getting into an argument with a coworker.

According to the Plano police, Kevin Michael Murray, 36, of Plano, was shot by co-worker Alireza Nikmanesh, 41, of Dallas, outside the Subway near 3100 Custer Rd., near the intersection of West Parker Road.

Witnesses said that the two men argued outside the shop, and that suspect Nikmanesh retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and shot the victim multiple times.

An off-duty Plano fire captain observed the injured victim and began CPR until Plano Fire-Rescue arrived. Murray was then transported to a local area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

When police arrived, Nikmanesh was still at the scene and was taken into custody without incident. He is being held in the Collin County Detention Center and has been charged with murder.

Plano police spokesman David Tilley said that detectives were investigating what the argument was about, but it did not appear to be related to the Subway or the shopping center.
