12-3-14: The Seahawks went into Levi’s Stadium on Thanksgiving night and made a statement. For the second consecutive week, Seattle beat a divisional opponent by the score, 19-3. Richard Sherman intercepted Colin Kaepernick twice, and Marshawn Lynch ran for 104 yards. Steven Hauschka made all four of his field goal attempts.
11-26-14: The Seahawks bounced back from their loss at Kansas City by beating the Arizona Cardinals, who went into the game with the best record in the NFL. Russell Wilson completed 17 of his 22 passing attempts for 211 yards and a touchdown, and he carried the ball 10 times for 73 yards.
11-19-14: The Kansas City Chiefs shut out the Seahawks in both the first and fourth quarters, as Seattle fell in Sunday’s game, 24-20. The Seahawks were unable to convert touchdowns on three of their five red zone opportunities. Marshawn Lynch, who missed the team’s practices on Wednesday and Thursday due to a calf injury, ran for 124 yards, but did not get into the end zone.
11-12-14: The Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch destroyed the New York Giants in the second half on Sunday. After trailing by three points at the half, Seattle shut out the Giants and scored 24 points in the final 30 minutes of the game. Lynch accounted for four of the team’s touchdowns in the contest.
11-6-14: The Seahawks are barely hanging on with their numerous injuries. They jumped out to a 24-3 lead against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, but Seattle did not look so good in the second half. Seattle won, 30-24, to move to 5-3 on the season. Marshawn Lynch racked up more than 140 total yards and got into the end zone twice in the victory.
10-30-14: There has recently been some frustrating off-the-field news for Seattle regarding Percy Harvin, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, but the Seahawks were able to snap their two-game losing streak with a victory on Sunday in Carolina. Russell Wilson found Luke Willson for the game-winning 23-yard touchdown with 47 seconds remaining.
10-21-14: Although Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to scores in all four quarters on Sunday, they only mustered six points in the first half as they fell to the Rams in St. Louis, 28-26. With that loss, Seattle dropped its second straight game to move to 3-3 on the season. Before the game, the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin to the New York Jets for a conditional draft pick.
10-14-14: The Seahawks played very well early in their game against the visiting Dallas Cowboys, but Seattle allowed the final 10 points of the game. In the first quarter, the Seahawks grabbed a quick 10-0 lead on a blocked punt that Mike Morgan returned for a touchdown. However, the Cowboys scored very late in the game to push the Seahawks’ record to 3-2.
10-9-14: The Seahawks looked strong off their bye week. They traveled to play the Washington Redskins and won, 27-17. Russell Wilson racked up a career-high in rushing yards on Monday night, and he scored three touchdowns. Seattle takes its 3-1 record back home, as they host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
10-1-14: The Seahawks were one of three NFC West teams that were on bye during the weekend. They will be on the road for three of their next four games, including Week 5’s Monday Night Football contest in Washington. The Seahawks have won both of their home games this season and dropped their only road game.
9-25-14: The Seahawks bounced back from their loss in San Diego in Week 2 by defeating the Denver Broncos. Seattle played very well in the first half, but let Peyton Manning and company come back and force overtime. However, Russell Wilson led the Seahawks down the field for Marshawn Lynch’s game-winning touchdown.
9-16-14: The San Diego Chargers surprised the Seahawks in Week 2, pushing Seattle’s record to 1-1 on the season. The Seahawks do not usually give up early scores, but the Chargers were able to get a field goal on their first drive of the game. The Seahawks abandoned the run in this contest as Marshawn Lynch’s six carries matched his fewest in a single game as a Seahawk.
9-10-14: The Seahawks opened the regular season on a great note, as they blew out the Green Bay Packers, 36-16. Marshawn Lynch ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Russell Wilson added more than 200 total yards and two touchdowns in the victory. The Seahawks also signed offensive tackle Andrew McDonald.
9-4-14: Last week, the Seahawks and Pete Carroll were fined more than $300,000 for violating the NFL’s no-contact practice rules. However, they will put those fines behind them as Seattle hosts the opening game of the 2014 NFL regular season. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday.
8-26-14: The Seahawks attacked the visiting Chicago Bears early and often on Friday. Russell Wilson completed 15 of his 20 pass attempts for 202 yards and three total touchdowns in the 34-6 victory. Marshawn Lynch also added a rushing touchdown, a seven-yard score on the first drive of the preseason game.
8-20-14: On Friday, Russell Wilson and his rushers destroyed the San Diego Chargers. While Seattle did not throw for a touchdown in this game, the team scored 41 points. Wilson ran for game-high two touchdowns. Robert Turbin also carried the ball 12 times for 81 yards and a touchdown.
8-14-14: Russell Wilson attempted just six passes in the Seahawks’ preseason opener in Denver, but he led a touchdown drive in the second quarter. Pete Carroll said that Marshawn Lynch, who missed the first part of camp in a contract holdout, is coming along, but needs work. He did not play in Seattle’s 21-16 loss to the Broncos.
8-5-14: On Saturday, former Seahawks offensive tackle Walter Jones was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Meanwhile, current Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch ended his holdout. Lynch has missed just one game in his Seahawks career, as he looks to help the team repeat as champions. The Seahawks begin their preseason in Denver on Thursday.
7-30-14: Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch’s hold out talk earlier this summer wasn’t an empty threat. The veteran running back is sitting out of camp as he looks for a new deal. The Seahawks have stood firm in not giving into Lynch, who has accrued over $455,000 in fines while missing practices. The Seahawks said goodbye to veteran wide receiver Sidney Rice, who officially retired from the league. Just 27 years old, the often injured Rice cited a history of concussions as his reasoning for hanging up the cleats. Seattle also lost tight end Anthony McCoy, as the former USC product tore his Achilles for the second year in a row. He will miss the entire 2014 season and could be looking at the end of his playing career.
7-15-14: The story of Seattle’s offseason has been the status of star running back Marshawn Lynch. Fresh off of his third straight elite season and helping the ‘Hawks win the Super Bowl, Lynch is said to be interested in landing one more big contract. From a holdout to a potential retirement, it seems that Lynch’s future could be somewhat up in the air. Lynch did report to Seattle’s minicamp in June, however, and doesn’t appear to be a real threat to miss the team’s camp, which opens on July 23th. Elsewhere, the Seahawks bolstered an already deep defensive line by signing on defensive tackle Kevin Williams, while pass-rushing specialist Bruce Irvin is said to be 100% following a hip injury.
6-5-14: The defending Super Bowl champs made sure their wide receiving corps was protected from another injury laden season, locking up the reliable and versatile Doug Baldwin to a three-year deal. Offensive coordinator also “vowed” recently to lighten star running back Marshawn Lynch’s load in the rushing game, specifically stating he’d like to get impressive second-year back Christine Michael more involved in the offense. The new running back by committee approach should help Seattle’s already stout ground game become even more dynamic, while save the powerful Lynch for another deep playoff run.
5-19-14: The Seattle Seahawks truly
didn’t need to improve upon much coming off of their Super Bowl win of a year ago, but having their depth and balance still allows for some excellent luxury picks. Let’s run through Seattle’s new draft class and see which of their picks may have the biggest impact going forward:

If there was a weakness in Seattle, it was wide receiver. The Seahawks noted that and took two wide receivers in the first four rounds, the most impressive being the tiny but explosive Paul Richardson out of Colorado. Kevin Norwood is a solid athlete with good size that could make an impact down the road, as well.
Seattle didn’t have many high profile picks, but they did attack minor needs and got a quality offensive lineman in Justin Britt in round two. They were also able to add even more depth to an already stout defense, landing quality pieces at defensive end, linebacker and in the secondary.
5-9-14: Seattle is the only team that actually had a pick when the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, yet didn’t select a single player when the night was over. Sitting at the 32nd overall pick, the Seahawks completed a trade with the Minnesota Vikings that allowed them to come in and draft quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. It was actually a great move by Seattle, as they’ll go forward in the draft with two second round picks and an extra fourth rounder, all thanks to the Vikings.
4-28-14: The defending champion Seattle Seahawks don’t have a lot of holes to fill, but they do still have some needs to address. Pete Carroll and co. have done a terrific job drafting the past three years, and should only keep that trend going in the 2014 NFL Draft. Where they’ll start is up in the air, but wide receiver is a clear weakness with Golden Tate leaving and both Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice struggling to stay healthy. They’re a very deep and balanced team, though, so they could also kick things off with a luxury pick like Stephon Tuitt or Dee Ford. This would make an elite defense even deeper and stronger and simply feels like a Seahawks move. Moving forward in the draft, Seattle will mostly be adding young talent that can eventually replace players that depart in free agent. Despite drafting a tight end in 2013, the ‘Hawks could also consider drafting a tight end early, as well. Austin Seferian-Jenkins might still be there for the taking late in round two due to a foot injury.
4-18-14: The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks get their 2014 preseason going in style, as they travel to Denver to take on the Broncos in a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl. While their week one battle with Peyton Manning and co. will get all the hype, the Seattle starters should play much more in week two, when they host the San Diego Chargers. Seattle will get a third straight tough opponent in week three, as Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears will come to town in a big showdown. Likely resting their starters for the preseason finale, the Seattle backups will compete for leftover roster spots as a trip to Oakland to take on the Raiders draws the preseason to a close.
4-7-14: How active should the defending Super Bowl champions be in free agency? Probably about as active as the Seattle Seahawks were. Seattle let overrated wide receivers Golden Tate and Sidney Rice go, while refraining to overpay to keep aging defensive players like red Bryant, Chris Clemons and Brandon Browner. Walter Thurmond III was their lone tough loss to swallow, although the Seahawks arguably made up for it by re-signing defensive lineman Michael Bennett in Seattle. Seattle remains stacked on defense and will merely need to round out that side of the ball with depth in the draft. Wide receiver will undoubtedly be their main focus on offense.
3-21-14: How can the defending Super Bowl champions get better in free agency? How about by standing pat? Seattle lost a slew of quality players, as they had to let the often injured Sidney Rice go, while under-utilized wide receiver Golden Tate fled to the Detroit Lions for more money and a bigger role. The Seahawks were able to keep defensive end Michael Bennett, but had their secondary robbed by the open market, losing Walter Thurmond III and Brandon Browner to the Giants and Patriots, respectively. While some of the losses sound bad, Seattle actually wisely pinched their pennies and stood true to the way they got to be champs in the first place: by building through the draft.
2-3-14: Super Bowl 48 could not have gone any better for the Seattle Seahawks. They entered with the same game plan and same base defense that got them to 13-3 and earned them a trip to the Super Bowl, and they knew they had a tough task in an equally imposing 13-3 Denver Broncos team.
Perhaps Seattle just wanted it more. Whatever the case, this game was all about cashing in on opportunities and flexing muscle, as the Seahawks hit the Broncos hard early and often, and were able to strike first on a safety. From that 2-0 lead on, Seattle never eased off the brakes and certainly never looked back.
The Seahawks ultimately forced four total turnovers and found a way to score in every possible way a team can in pro football: by safety, return touchdown, defensive touchdown return, via the ground and through the air.
It was a total team effort that could have had anyone win the MVP award, but linebacker Malcolm Smith got the nod thanks to nine tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception returned for a touchdown. Percy Harvin was a lightning rod with a kick return for a score to start the second half and arguably deserved some consideration, while quarterback Russell Wilson put up over 300 passing yards and two touchdowns, while playing mistake-free football.
Everyone knew we were in for a show in this year’s Super Bowl, but perhaps only Seahawks fans figured the end result could be something like the 43-8 blowout we ended up getting. The 35-point difference tied for the third largest in NFL history, and helped put the final spin on a game that never felt close at any point, and was never contested in score, either.
Denver had some opportunities to get on the board or stop the bleeding, but ultimately failed in every situation. Ultimately, Denver’s pass protection was shaky, they couldn’t run the ball, they were caress with the ball and they couldn’t finish tackles.
The Broncos’ inability to win their individual matchups and execute properly played a hand in Seattle’s dominance in Super Bowl XLVIII, but it arguably was a small part. Seattle came out as an enforcer, looking to establish contact and get the Broncos off their game. That’s exactly what happened, and with Denver failing to hit back and keep the Seahawks on their toes, this game ended up being incredibly lopsided.
Even a narrow, hard-fought win would have done the trick for Seattle, though, as the franchise earned their first Lombardi Trophy ever in just their second Super Bowl appearance. And after their first go at a Super Bowl was marred in controversy, this one seems all the sweeter.
Like any other team, the Seahawks have a few decisions to make about 2014, while it’s hard to believe them being this healthy again for a second season in a row. With that said, from what we saw on Super Bowl Sunday, it’ll be awfully hard to bet against the Seahawks heading into next season - making a repeat trip to the promised land a realistic possibility.
1-22-14: The Seattle Seahawks are a facade, no more. It was only three years ago when the Seahawks took the league by storm with Marshawn Lynch turning into “Beast Mode”. And it was just last season that third round pick Russell Wilson became a revelation en route to a 11-5 record and divisional round clash with the Atlanta Falcons.
Wilson and co. picked up right where they left off in that narrow road defeat, as they went 13-3 in 2013 despite having a massive target on their back. In fact, with all three losses coming by a touchdown or less, it’s even conceivable that this Seattle team could have vied for a perfect season.
There they were in their own backyard, though, with the game on the line and the defense nursing a 23-17 lead. Instead of getting buried by Colin Kaepernick in the final seconds, Richard Sherman and the ‘Hawks defense stepped up, made a play, and pushed the Seahawks into Super Bowl 48.
A team of emotion and passion, Seattle isn’t at first glance everyone’s pick to hoist the Lombardi in two weeks.
However, boasting the league’s top-ranked defense, Sherman and co. probably have the best chance at topping the Denver Broncos in this year’s Super Bowl.
Win or lose, head coach Pete Carroll has instilled a deep-rooted confidence and swagger in Seattle, the kind that will leak into 2014 and make the Seahawks Super Bowl contenders yet again - regardless of what happens on Super Bowl Sunday.
1-15-14: With Seattle’s passing game sputtering, running back Marshawn Lynch put his team on his back once again, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-15 win over the visiting New Orleans Saints. Despite not topping 100 rushing yards since week 10, Lynch came through in the clutch, including with under three minutes to go, when he popped off a 31-yard touchdown to extend Seattle’s lead to 23-8. A late Saints touchdown and onside kick made things interesting until the end, but Lynch made sure Seattle got the last laugh in a game that was truly all Seattle.
Percy Harvin made his second appearance of the 2013 season and racked up four total touches before being knocked out of the game with a concussion. Seattle will likely need him for the NFC title game if they hope to extend their playoff run and reach the Super Bowl.
12-31-13: The Seahawks needed to secure a week 17 win to lock up the number one overall seed in the playoffs. Luckily they were facing the St. Louis Rams. Marshawn Lynch ran for 97 yards and a touchdown and the Seattle defense did the rest as the Seahawks got to 13-3 with a 27-9 home win.
12-24-13: It’s not often that the Seahawks play poorly at home - much less lose a game. Both happened in week 16, though, as Seattle was stifled on offense by an aggressive Arizona Cardinals defense and the Seahawks couldn’t capitalize on four Carson Palmer interceptions in a 17-10 loss.
12-17-13: The Seattle Seahawks dominated every facet of the game in week 15, as they picked off Eli Manning five times and shutout the New York Giants, earning a big 23-0 win on the road. Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson both chipped in a touchdown on offense, helping Seattle to their 12th win of the year.
12-10-13: Russell Wilson wasn’t his amazing self, but he tossed a touchdown and help the Seahawks pull ahead over the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately, Seattle had to look on as 49ers kicker Phil Dawson knocked in the game-winning field goal with under 30 seconds to go. Marshawn Lynch added over 70 rushing yards and a touchdown in the narrow 19-17 defeat.
12-3-13:
Seattle had the Saints figured out from the word go in week 13, as they jumped out to a 17-0 lead and really never looked back. Russell Wilson got the job done on offense with over 300 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Seattle’s blistering defense held Drew Brees under 200 passing yards in a 34-7 win at home.
11-19-13: Marshawn Lynch was the best running back on the field in week 11, as he ran for nearly 80 yards and two touchdowns in a big 41-20 win over Adrian Peterson and the visiting Minnesota Vikings. Percy Harvin made his Seattle Seahawks (and 2013) debut, as well, catching a 17-yard pass and bringing a return 58 yards to provide a welcomed spark on offense and special teams.
11-12-13: The Seattle Seahawks just keep taking care of business. After two eyebrow raising close wins over lesser opponents, the ‘Hawks marched into Atlanta and took care of business in all facets, topping the Falcons, 33-10. Seattle’s defense was stifling as usual, while Marshawn Lynch paces the offense with a whopping 145 rushing yards and a score.
11-5-13: Down 24-7 in the third quarter to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks had every reason to doubt themselves and fold. The problem for Tampa Bay, however, is they didn’t. Wilson blocked out two earlier interceptions and accounted for all three of Seattle’s touchdowns to force overtime with just under two minutes remaining. After the Seattle defense held strong in overtime, Wilson continued his late-game surge by guiding the ‘Hawks down the field for the winning field goal, giving Seattle a huge comeback and a 27-24 overtime win at home.
10-30-13: The Seahawks were expected to run the St. Louis Rams out of their own stadium in week eight. Instead, they needed a goal-line stand against Kellen Clemens to escape with a win on Monday Night Football. Russell Wilson tossed two touchdowns that helped earn the win, but took an incredible seven sacks as the ‘Hawks barely hung on to get to 7-1 on the year.
10-22-13: Seattle rebounded from a loss to the Indianapolis Colts to get a 34-22 in the desert against the Arizona Cardinals. Instead of the defensive battle that many expected, Russell Wilson tossed three touchdowns to give Seattle a 31-13 lead late in the game. Arizona would make a small run late in this one, but in the end they couldn’t make up for allowing Wilson’s scores or letting Marshawn Lynch (91 yards and a touchdown) run all over them.
10-15-13: The Seattle Seahawks probably should have beaten the Tennessee Titans by a landslide in week six, but freakish happenings and poor play only allowed a narrow 20-13 win at home. A blocked field goal that got returned for a touchdown made this one 10-10 at the half, but Seattle turned to stud running back Marshawn Lynch and pushed the Titans out of the way in the second half. It wasn’t easy, but Lynch racked up 77 hard-earned yards on 21 carries and scored what would be the decisive touchdown to help get the ‘Hawks to 5-1 on the season.
10-8-13: The Seattle Seahawks had been the talk of the NFC as they entered week five, and for much of the first half against the Colts, that talk was only growing louder. Seattle struck early and used a blocked punt to record a safety and notch a 12-0 lead in the first quarter. They then leaned on Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson, who mostly had their with with the Indianapolis Colts run defense, as they piled on 102 rushing yards a piece. Unfortunately, despite leading all the way until the middle of the fourth quarter, the Seahawks fell behind 31-28 and could never recover.
10-1-13: The Seattle Seahawks were an impressive 3-0 after three weeks, but after two quarters in their road game against the Houston Texans, it was looking like they would finally have a blemish on their 2013 record. Instead, despite digging themselves into a formidable 20-3 hole, Seattle slowly chipped away. Marshawn Lynch got Seattle right back into it with a rushing score with just under eight minutes remaining, while Richard Sherman tied the game up at 20 thanks to a poorly thrown ball by Matt Schaub, in which the Seahawks’ star corner took all the way for a touchdown. That helped forced overtime, where Seattle withstood two Houston drives to march down and kick the game-winner, giving them the 23-20 win on the road.
9-18-13: This weekend’s most hyped match-up was easily in Seattle on Sunday when the Seahawks hosted the division rival 49ers. It was a game that most “experts” predicted would be a close one, but the Seahawks had other plans. The game did start out as a tight contest, with the Seahawks taking a small 5-0 lead into the half. The second half, however, was all Seahawks as they outscored the Niners 24-3. Russell Wilson completed 8 of just 19 passes for 142 yards, a TD and an interception. Marshawn Lynch ran it 28 times for 98 yards and two TDs in the win. On the defensive side, Seattle held the 49ers to just 207 total yards and picked of Colin Kaepernick 3 times. The Seahawks look to improve to 3-0 next week when they host the Jaguars.
9-10-13: With Russell Wilson and Cam Newton going toe-to-toe in week one, some thought this game would have a lot of offense, but those people would have been mistake. This one was all about the defense as the Seahawks won their open 12-7. The ‘Hawks defense held Newton to just 125 passing yards. It took late-game heroics to seal the deal for the ‘Hawks, though, as Wilson topped off his 300+ passing yard day with a scoring strike to Jermaine Kearse to finalize a 12-7 victory at Carolina. Then, with 5:25 left on the clock, Seahawks safety Earl Thomas forced DeAngelo Williams to fumble the ball at the Seahawks 8 yard line. Seattle was then able to run out the clock and secure the win. Next week, Seattle hosts the 49ers on Sunday Night Football in one of the most highly anticipated early-season games.
9-3-13: Here are the Seahawks final roster cuts as the ready themselves for the 2013 regular season: QB Brady Quinn, CB Antoine Winfield, FB Michael Robinson, WR Phil Bates, DT Michael Brooks, DT Dewayne Cherrington, WR Arceto Clark, TE Darren Fells, DB Winston Guy, WR Chris Harper, TE Cooper Helfet, DT Jaye Howard, G Rishaw Johnson, DT Clinton McDonald, TE Sean McGrath, DB Ron Parker, LB Ty Powell, G Ryan Seymour, DE DeShawn Shead, DT Sealver Siliga, G Jared Smith, WR Bryant Walters.
8-21-13: The Seahawks made it 2 for 2 on the preseason with an impressive 40-10 win over the Broncos in Seattle on Saturday. Jermaine Kearse was the star of the game, catching one TD pass and also returning a kickoff 107 yards for another score. Russell Wilson completed 8 of 12 passes for 127 yards and two touch downs. He also ran it once for 10 yards. Brandon Browner also returned a fumble 106 yards for a touchdown.
The Broncos defense had no answers for the Seahawks as they racked up 33 first-half points to head into halftime with a 33-7 lead. The lone Broncos TD was an 11-yard pass from Peyton Manning to Wes Welker. In the second half, the Broncos reserves could only muster a 33-yard field goal by Matt Prater. Next week, the Seahaws head to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
8-11-13: Seattle opened up their 2013 preseason schedule with a 31-10 win over the Chargers in San Diego. Russell Wilson attempted just six passes, completing two for 23 yards. Tarvaris Jackson was 8 of 9 for 128 yards and 2 TD, and Brady Quinn was 6 of 11 for 59 yards and a TD. Rookie RB Christine Michael carried the ball 16 times for 89 yards, and fullback Spencer Ware scored Seattle's only TD on the ground.
Next Saturday the Seahawks host the Broncos at CenturyLink Field.
8-3-13: The Seahawks and Early Doucet have agreed upon a one-year deal.
7-10-13: As if the Seahawks weren’t already heavy favorites to make a deep playoff run in 2013, the team swung a sweet trade to land wide receiver Percy Harvin, making their balanced offense even harder to defend. They still need to improve their pass-rush on defense, but adding defensive end Michael Bennett could go a long way in getting the job done, while they still boast one of the best secondaries in the entire league. As long as quarterback Russell Wilson can avoid the sophomore slump, the Seahawks should contend for the divison title.
6-12-13: Seattle was a big-time surprise in 2012, and that had everything to do with an elite defense and a stud rookie quarterback in Russell Wilson. It was supposed to be Matt Flynn under center, but it was instead the athletic third-round pick who helped raise the Seahawks to playoff relevancy, and almost got them to the NFC title game. This year, Wilson should only be better, while the acquisition of electric wide receiver Percy Harvin should only assist Wilson in taking Seattle’s offense to new heights. Throw in the Seahawks’ elite secondary and a hopefully improved pass-rush, and Seattle should contend for the NFC West crown and make another deep playoff run.

1-9-13: Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson showed a ton of poise and leadership skills from the very beginning of the season and onward into the playoffs. After an impressive comeback win in Washington during the NFC wild card game the Seahawks will now head into Atlanta to face the #1 seeded Falcons. Seattle has won six games in a row including the playoffs and they are red hot. Unfortunately they will not be able to use their 12th man-like home crowd this postseason, but they have no doubts in themselves and their capabilities. If the Seattle pass rush can put pressure on Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons, they will have a good chance to keep the score close and win the game on the road.
12-4-12: With three out of the next four games to finish the season being at home, the Seahawks will rely on their proclaimed ‘12th man’ to get into the playoffs for the second straight year. Rookie Quarterback Russell Wilson will lead his team against the Arizona Cardinals this week, a team that mustered up only 6 points against the Jets in New York. Last week the Seahawks put together an impressive overtime win in Chicago against the Bears.
