When stepping out for this primarily-ladies luncheon at Triniti Restaurant, Lora Clemmons dressed in style, sticking with one of the social sets' favorite designers — Oscar de la Renta. Her jacket, sweater and skirt were all by the famed master of ladylike dressing. The textured brown stockings were from Fogal and her brown suede pumps from Manolo Blahnik.

This former Hall of Fame Best Dressed honoree puts her law degree to good use managing her husband's gastroenterology practice. That would be Dr. John B. Clemmons Jr.

Not even the Houston Chronicle Best Dressed honorees being presented at Neiman Marcus on this night were better turned out than Best Dressed Hall of Fame member Lora Clemmons.

She reigned in understated elegance in a black, fitted dress by Herve Leger from Neiman Marcus. She completed the look with a Judith Leiber minaudiere (bejeweled evening bag) and platform pumps by Chanel. The simplicity of the ensemble was elegantly accessorized with just a touch of bling — a Tiffany & Co. "L-O-V-E" pin in diamonds and diamond earrings, also from Tiffany's.

We applaud this sophisticated look that made her a stand-out in the gathering of very well-dressed women.
