Katherine Carscallen

Katherine Carscallen is a third generation commercial fisherman in Bristol Bay. Born and raised in Dillingham, Alaska, Katherine grew up in the salmon gill net fishery, and now captains her boat, the F/V Sea Hawk. In the off season, Katherine is committed to protecting Bristol Bay from threats like the Pebble Mine. Katherine sits on the Board of the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association and is their Sustainability Director.

Ben Blakey

Ben is a lifelong participant in the Bristol Bay salmon industry.  His first experiences in Bristol Bay date back to his early childhood when he spent his summers working with his family’s salmon processing business, Snopac Products Inc. For the past 25 summers Ben and his brothers have returned to work and fish the waters of Bristol Bay. In 2005, Ben received his bachelors in Hispanic Studies from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. Ben owns and operates a salmon drift net boat, the F/V N-20 based in Naknek.  In the off season, Ben is the Pacific Northwest Outreach Coordinator for Commercial Fishermen for Bristol Bay. He lives in Seattle.
