Vivian Wise bounced into the CultureMap office to drop off press kits for her latest retail endeavor, Velvet Slipper Divine (more on that at a later date) and knocked us out with a fashion approach that she described as “designer schizophrenia.” Never mind that she was a Stye File subject just in October. This woman dresses in such interesting fashion that we just can't help ourselves.

Fashion dementia notwithstanding, the combined designer labels she wore on this morning sojourn resulted in an appealing hipster look complimenting her pink coif. Vivian’s riding boots with bows were Valentino, her skirt from Azzedine Alaia the belt by Billy Reid, her sweater Louis Vuitton and the jacket vintage YSL.

“What’s terrible is that I’m old enough that it’s my own vintage,” she quipped.

Assessing how she put the look together, Vivian declared, “I’m the Sybil version of getting dressed in the morning.”

Vivian Wise coyly describes herself as "curator of the divine." It's a moniker we are inclined to accept considering her elegant fashion-forward approach to dressing for a Nini Ricci event in the couture salon at Neiman Marcus.

Via cell phone from her perch on the beach in Cancun, Vivian relayed that her leather dress by L'Agence was a purchase from Katia Boutique while her rockstud boots and the My Own Code handbag (personalized with her initials) were purchases from the Valentino boutique in the Galleria.

She accessorized with a plethora of gold bangle bracelets (she's been collecting them since she was 16) including several from Patricia Peckinpaugh. The love knot necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane was a birthday gift.
