Welcome! Come worship with us!
Worship at Southside Presbyterian is every Sunday at 9:30 am.
From the moment you step into our sanctuary, you know you are in a unique and sacred space. Worship is conducted in a circular sanctuary based on the design of Native American kivas. Inside the Southside Kiva, the congregation shares spirituality and community through worship in the round.
Worship services at Southside are as unique as our sanctuary and as diverse as the people who fill its seats. Some wear their Sunday best while others come in jeans and t-shirts, but all come with their whole heart and spirit ready to praise God. On any given Sunday, traditional Presbyterian hymns are sung alongside gospel music, scripture is read in English and Spanish, and prayers of blessing are offered in Tohono O’odham. Central to our worship is praise of the crucified and risen Christ, a peasant from a poor village, who calls us to discipleship and service in a world torn apart by war and injustice. In worship, we are comforted by the love of God, challenged by the life of Christ and sent out into the world to serve with the guidance and support of the Holy Spirit.
We invite you to join us on our journey as we continue to discover what it means to be disciples of the crucified and risen Christ in our barrio, in Tucson, in the borderlands of Southern Arizona, and in the world.
