12-5-14: The Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the Western Conference through the first five weeks of the season as the team has posted a 12-2 record. The Warriors started this week by traveling to Charlotte to take on Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets team. The Hornets took a 80-74 lead into the fourth quarter against one of the best teams in the NBA this season after playing stellar defense against Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. During the contest the Warriors Marreese Speights went off in the fourth quarter as he attempted to lead his Memphis teammates all the way back after trailing early. Speights scored the first 16 points for the Warriors in the fourth quarter as the Warriors came back to beat the Hornets by the score of 106-101. The Warriors looked for another victory in their next contest when the team traveled to Detroit to take on the Detroit Pistons. During the contest the Pistons came out with a cold hand shooting as the team scored just 40 points in the first half of the game. Detroit did break out with a 31 point outburst in the third quarter but the team ultimately finished with just a 37% shooting percentage on the night. Golden State on the other hand rode the hot shooting hands of Draymond Green and Stephen Curry who scored a combined 36 points in the contest. The Warriors finished the game shooting 47% from the field en route to their 104-93 victory over the Pistons. The Warriors looked to keep their winning streak alive in their next contest when the team traveled back home to Golden State to play host to the Orlando Magic. During the contest the Warriors used a huge second quarter to propel the team for the rest of the game as most stats in the matchup were comparable for both teams. Orlando used a big third quarter to climb back into the contest and erase the Warrior’s second quarter outburst before allowing Stephen Curry and Golden State back into the contest in the fourth. The game went down to the final buzzer and when all was said and done the Warriors had won their 10th game in a row as the team narrowly beat the Magic by the score of 98-97. The Warriors ended their week looking for their 11th straight win when the team hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at home in Golden State. During the contest the Pelicans had to feel it was a bit of a victory to hold star Stephen Curry to just 19 points but Curry used a cold night shooting to his advantage when he collected 11 assists. Many of them went to the Warriors leading scorer Klay Thompson who finished with 23 points while the Warriors took an even 100 shots on the night. The Pelicans were led by Anthony Davis and his 30 point night but it was not enough as the team fell to Golden State by the score of 112-85. When the week was all said and done the team finished with an overall record of 16-2. 11-28-14: The Golden State Warriors have the best guard in the game in Stephen Curry and have one of the best records in the league to start the 2014/2015 season as the team posted an impressive 8-2 record to start the campaign. The Warriors started this week by heading back home to Golden State to host the Utah Jazz in a Western Conference showdown. In the game the Warriors were led six different players in double digits who picked up the slack while Stephen Curry was held to just 8 points on 3-9 shooting from the field. The Jazz looked to take advantage of a cold night from Curry behind 18 points from Enes Kanter but it wasn’t enough as the Warriors grinded out a 101-88 victory over Utah. In the Warriors next game Curry looked to get things going as the team traveled to Oklahoma City to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road. The Thunder were led by 22 points and 11 rebounds from Reggie Jackson while Anthony Morrow added a double-double of his own. Meanwhile Marreese Speights led the Warriors and all scorers with 28 points while Golden State survived another cold night of shooting from Stephen Curry as the pulled out a 91-86 victory. The Warriors hoped that Stephen Curry woke up offensively in their next contest as the team traveled to Miami to take on the Miami Heat in a road game. In Hassan Whiteside’s debut with the Heat his teammates enjoyed 26 points and 9 rebounds from Chris Bosh as he led the Miami offensive attack. The Warriors were even better as the team watched Stephen Curry break a personal cold streak scoring 40 points as Golden State went on to win the contest by the score of 114-97. Steph Curry and the Warriors looked to remain hot in their final game of the week as the team traveled to Orlando to take on the Orlando Magic. During the game Orlando was led by 16 points from Tobias Harris on a cold night of shooting from the Magic. Orlando was held to just 41% shooting and 30% shooting from beyond the arc as the team fell to the Warriors by the score of 111-96. The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry’s 28 points while Golden State shot 52% as a team in the victory. When the week was all said and done the team finished with an overall record of 12-2. 11-21-14: The Golden State Warriors have had one of the better starts to the 2014/2015 season as the team has
posted a 6-2 record to start the new campaign. The Warriors started this week by traveling back home
to host the Charlotte Hornets at home in Golden State. In the game Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry
combined for 40 points and 14 assists while the Warriors shot an impressive 52% from the field as a
team. The Hornets had a rough night shooting from the field as the team only managed 38% shooting on
the night. Kemba Walker had a cold night shooting especially as he managed just 3-14 shooting from the
field and 8 points in a 112-87 loss to Golden State. The Warriors looked to keep winning when they
traveled to Staples Center to play a road game with the Los Angeles Lakers. In the game the Lakers were
led by none other than Kobe Bryant as the Los Angeles guard scored 44 points and grabbed five
rebounds but once again his supporting cast was a no show for the most part in the contest. The
Warriors had much more of a complete team game on the night with seven players from Golden State
scoring in double digits including Stephen Curry’s 30 point night. The Warriors outlasted Kobe and the
Lakers in this contest winning by the score of 136-115. When the week was all said and done the team

11-14-14: The Golden State Warriors start to the 2014/2015 season could not have gone any better than imagined as the team started the first week of the campaign with a perfect 4-0. The Warriors started this week by traveling to Houston to take on a fellow perfect team on the road in the Houston Rockets. In the battle of the unbeaten Stephen Curry brought his A game as the guard led all scorers with 34 points in the contest while Andre Iguodala added 15 points in a 98-87 victory for the Warriors. Houston was led by 22 points from James Harden and 21 points from Isaiah Canaan but it wasn’t enough in Houston’s first loss of the season. As the league’s only unbeaten team left the Warriors set out on the road to take on the Phoenix Suns in their next contest. In the game Stephen Curry scored 28 points for the Warriors while Draymond Green added 22 points to lead Golden State’s scoring attack. The Suns were led by 22 points from Isaiah Thomas and 19 points from Gerald Green as the Suns took down the Warriors by the score of 107-95 in Golden State’s first loss of the young season. Golden State looked to keep from losing their second game of the season in their next contest when they hosted the defending champion San Antonio Spurs at home. Tony Parker broke out in the contest for the Spurs scoring 28 points while Tim Duncan had a double-double in the contest that San Antonio would go on to win convincingly by the score of 113-100. Golden State was led by Klay Thompson as Stephen Curry had a cold night shooting going just 7-18 from the field and 0-7 from beyond the arc in the loss. The Warriors looked to finish their week off on a high note as the team traveled back home to host the Brooklyn Nets. In the contest the Nets shot themselves in the foot shooting just 19% from behind the three point line while the team shot just 44% from the field as a team on the night. Jarrett Jack led the Nets with 23 points while Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett, and Andree Kirilenko had tough nights shooting in the contest. Meanwhile Golden State was led by 25 points from Klay Thompson and 17 points from Stephen Curry in a 107-99 victory for the Warriors. When the week was all said and done the team finished with an overall record of 6-2. 11-7-14: The Golden State Warriors started their 2014/2015 season off last week by ruining the Sacramento Kings
home opener as they beat the Kings to start the season 1-0. With the 2014/2015 season entering its first
full week the Warriors hosted their own home opener against the Los Angeles Lakers without Steve
Nash and Julius Randle. In the game the Warriors Klay Thompson went off offensively scoring 41 points
while Stephen Curry added 31 points in a game that Golden State won by the score of 127-104. In the
game Kobe Bryant did his part scoring 28 points while Jordan Hill added 23 points but the defense had
no answer for Thompson and Curry in this contest in the loss. The Warriors left out to go back out on the
road to face off with the Portland Trail Blazers as Golden State looks to push their perfect record to 3-0.
Golden State was led by 29 points from Klay Thompson and 21 points from Stephen Curry as the
Warriors went on to win the contest by 95-90. Portland was led by 26 points from LaMarcus Aldridge in
the contest but it wasn’t enough as the Trail Blazers only shot 64% from the free throw line in the game
and 40% from the field in the loss. Golden State finished their week off by heading home to host the Los
Angeles Clippers. In the contest Draymond Green and Stephen Curry combined for 52 points in the
contest as the Clippers had no answer for the duo on defense. Jamal Crawford scored 24 points for the
Clippers but Chris Paul and Blake Griffin were held to just 29 points combined as the Clippers fell to the
Golden State Warriors by the score of 121-104. When the week was all said and done the team finished

10-31-14: The Golden State Warriors tipped off the 2014-2015 season by facing off with the Sacramento Kings on the road after going 6-2 in the preseason. Golden State actually won their first two games of the preseason and won their final two games to ride the momentum into the regular season. The Warriors also extended Klay Thompson to a max extension before the season started to keep him in Golden State for at least four more seasons. The deal is estimated to be around $70 million but the league has yet to set the new maximum salary beyond the 2014/2015 season so we won’t know the true details until around July of 2015. Thompson and the Warriors started the season on the right foot as they traveled to Sacramento to take on the Kings with a big scoring output. Stephen Curry led the way with 24 points while Thompson chipped in 19 points in a 95-77 victory for the Warriors. Curry missed a triple-double by five assists as he finished with 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the contest as the Warriors easily improved their record to 1-0 on the young season. 10-29-14: The Splash Brothers are back to lead the Warriors at Oracle Arena this season, but they will be under new direction in head coach Steve Kerr. Following a 51-win season, however, the team will likely pick up right where they left off. The season average for Warriors tickets is now $135.71, up 35.4% from last season’s average of $113.68. They’ll play their most expensive game against the Cavs on January 9, with an average price currently listed at $289.19 and a get-in price of $88 on the secondary market.
10-24-14: Equipped with youth and two budding superstars in Stefan Curry and Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors won 51 games last season. They’ve picked up right where they left off in the preseason, owning a 5-2 record through seven games. They ultimately fell to the Clippers in the Western Conference First Round last season, but took the first-place Clippers to seven games.
10-15-14: The Golden State Warriors have gotten to a strong start to their preseason schedule with three straight wins, including back to back beatdowns of the LA Lakers, a 120-105 win on Oct 9, followed by a 116-75 win on Oct 12 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Golden State’s last outing. Next up on the Warriors preseason schedule is a meeting with the Denver Nuggets at the Wells Fargo Arena this Thursday, followed by four more preseason games with Miami, Houston, LA Clippers, and Denver before kicking off their regular season on the road against the Sacramento Kings on Oct 29.
10-8-14: The Golden State Warriors won their first preseason game against the LA Clippers last night, as Golden State will now turn their attention to a matchup with the LA Lakers tomorrow night as these two teams will meet again on October 12, followed by an October 16th meeting with the Denver Nuggets at Wells Fargo Arena, with remaining preseason games with the Heat, Rockets, Clippers, and Nuggets. Golden State are one of the more exciting teams to watch with one of the best backcourts in the game as they look to become a more serious threat to the elite teams in the Western Conference.
9-22-14: Despite two straight winning seasons and playoff appearances The Golden State Warriors front office decided to fire coach Mark Jackson and replace him with another former player and first time coach in Steve Kerr. Kerr previously as a player won championships with the Bulls and Spurs and was the General Manager for the Phoenix Suns. With the very effective starting five from last year returning headlined by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and the majority of the bench Kerr will have to show that the differences in his coaching technique will make the difference for a deep playoff run.
8-13-14: The Golden State Warriors headed into this year offseason looking to hit homeruns and hit the jackpot in Kevin Love sweepstakes, but their unwillingness to part with Klay Thomspon cost them Kevin Love, but they look to come into this season with few holes on their roster. So far they have signed Brandon Rush, Shaun Livingston, and added Steve Kerr as their new head coach as Golden State fans look forward to another year of exciting Warriors basketball.
5-12-14: The Warriors fought hard without Andrew Bogut. Jermaine O’Neal was battling a bone bruise in his knee late in the series, and he played all seven playoff games against the Los Angeles Clippers. Stephen Curry scored a game-high 33 points in Game 7, but Golden State fell by five points at the Staples Center. The Clippers moved on to the second round while the Warriors headed into their offseason. The most notable news out of the organization this past week was the firing of coach Mark Jackson. He made Golden State into a winning team, but did not mesh well with the front office, so he is no longer the Warriors coach.
5-5-14: After losing Games 2 and 3, the Warriors got themselves back into the series by winning two of the next three contests. Stephen Curry’s game-highs in points and rebounds in Game 4 led Golden State to the 118-97 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. Curry had a stellar day from 3-point distance as he made seven of his 14 attempts from deep. Mark Jackson made a permanent change in the starting lineup for Game 4: he inserted Draymond Green, who posted a plus/minus of positive 33 in that contest. Although the Clippers won Game 5, the Warriors took Game 6 at home.
4-28-14: The Warriors are fighting very hard without starting center Andrew Bogut. Although Jermaine O’Neal has a frustrating plus/minus as his replacement, O’Neal has averaged a solid nine points on strong shooting in limited minutes. In Game 1, David Lee stepped up as he scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Golden State’s 109-105 victory. However, the Warriors dropped their next two games. They were blown out in Monday’s Game 2 and lost a very close contest on Thursday in Oakland. In Game 3, Stephen Curry’s game-high 15 assists were the most by a Warrior in a playoff game since Tim Hardaway’s 20 in 1991.
4-21-14: Stephen Curry, the Western Conference Player of the Month for April, tied for the most assists in the month and dominated from the 3-point line. He and Klay Thompson were the top two players in 3-pointers made this past season. They led the Warriors to a successful April as Golden State finished with the sixth playoff spot in the Western Conference. They face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round. During the regular season, the Warriors dropped both of their games at Staples Center, so splitting the first two games in Los Angeles in the postseason series would be an accomplishment for the Warriors.
4-16-14: Golden State Warriors playoff tickets average $273 on the secondary market, which is 1st in the west, and 2nd overall. The regular season average was $113, meaning there is a 141% playoff premium. The Warriors are currently in the 6th seed in the West and are set to face the 3rd seeded Clippers in the opening round.
4-7-14: The Warriors finished their five-game homestand and played a back-to-back set on the road before returning to California. On Friday and Sunday, Stephen Curry was the game-high scorer. His 33 points on Friday led Golden State to the 100-93 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Unfortunately, his 32 points were not enough to beat the New York Knicks. David Lee, who missed the entire week, and Andrew Bogut both sat out that contest with injuries. Bogut did not make the road trip, which the Warriors split. Curry hit the game-winning shot in Dallas, but Golden State was blown out on Wednesday in San Antonio.
4-1-14: The Warriors had an especially light week this past week. They stayed home and played the middle contest of their five-game homestand. Unfortunately, it was against the league’s hottest team, the San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors brought a three-game winning streak into that contest, but they could not take advantage of the Spurs sitting Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. The Spurs won, 99-90, to continue the NBA’s best winning streak this season. The Warriors, who do not have a very tight grasp on their playoff spot, will need to step up their play to make sure they get into the postseason.
3-24-14: Stephen Curry led the Warriors to a 3-1 record this past week, but it started on a bad note. Klay Thompson missed Friday’s contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry’s game-high 27 points were not enough as the Warriors lost by nine points. Thompson was back on Sunday at Portland. Curry led the way with 37 points and Thompson added 27 points, including the game-winner, as the Warriors rallied from an 18-point deficit to defeat the Trail Blazers, 113-112. Curry’s 54 combined points over the next couple of games brought the Warriors two more victories. However, Andre Iguodala is now dealing with knee tendinitis.
3-17-14: The Warriors had a strong week at home before they went on the road. David Lee was the star of the first two games of the week. In Friday’s 111-97 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, Lee scored a game-high 18 points. Then, he led all scorers in Sunday’s game with 26 points as Golden State took down the Phoenix Suns. Jordan Crawford came off the bench on Tuesday to help the team. He scored a game-high 19 points en route to the Warriors’ 108-85 domination of the Dallas Mavericks. However, on Wednesday, Stephen Curry exited the game with an injury as Golden State lost to the Los Angeles Clippers.
3-10-14: The Warriors finished their six-game road trip on a good note. With a 3-1 week, they won four of the six games away from home during this stretch. On Friday at Madison Square Garden, Stephen Curry put on a show. He triple-doubled with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists en route to the 126-103 blowout of the New York Knicks. Although the Warriors fell on Sunday by six points at Toronto, they bounced back to beat the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. Klay Thompson’s jumper with 0.6 seconds left gave Golden State the 98-96 win. Then on the second night of the back-to-back set, the Warriors beat the Boston Celtics, 108-88.
3-4-14: The Warriors were a man down as they visited north of the border this past Sunday. Jermaine O'Neal could not travel with the team due to a missing passport. The team eventually found the missing passport, but it was too late for O'Neal to make the trip. The Warriors lost the game vs the Atlantic Division leading Raptors 104-98.
3-3-14: After giving up a 14-2 run in the 4th quarter, the Warriors fell to Toronto 104-98 on Sunday afternoon. All-star snub Demar DeRozan led the way for Toronto with 32 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in 42 minutes of action. Steph Curry chipped in 34, while David Lee went for 20 and 11.
3-2-14: On Saturday, Jermaine O’Neal showed everyone that he still has something left in that 35-year-old tank of his. Filling in for David Lee who was out due to an illness, O’Neal carried the Warriors past the Brooklyn Nets with game-highs in points and rebounds. Then on Monday, O’Neal registered another double-double as Golden State defeated the Detroit Pistons, 104-96. Stephen Curry also shot very well in the final quarter as he guided the Warriors to the win in the team’s first contest of a six-game road trip. Unfortunately, the Warriors’ week did not end too well. Although Lee returned, the Bulls’ defense stifled Golden State as no Warrior starter scored double-digit points. Chicago won, 103-83.
2-28-14: It was exactly 366 days ago that Warriors guard Stephen Curry exploded for a career high 54 points at Madison Square Garden in an 109-105 loss to the Knicks. Curry will look for a victory as he leads the Dubs into New York City again tonight against a free falling Knicks team.
2-27-14: The Chicago Bulls showed a dominating defensive presence in their 103-83 win over Golden State on Wednesday night. Stephon Curry was held to just 5 points with 1 three pointer on 2-10 shooting. For the Bulls, Taj Gibson led the way off the bench with 21 points. Joakim Noah added 17 rebounds.
2-26-14: David Lee rejoined traveling with the team after missing the past few days with the stomach flu. Lee is questionable for tonight's game at Chicago but is likely for Friday's game at New York. The Warriors' visit to Madison Square Garden is the NBA's most expensive remaining regular season game.
2-25-14: The Warriors visit to Madison Square Garden this Friday is by far the NBA's most expensive remaining regular season game. At an average ticket price of $545, it's 42% higher than the next priciest game (Heat/Pacers on April 11th). Both head coach Mark Jackson and forward David Lee enjoyed their early playing careers in New York.
2-24-14: Harrison Barnes kicked off All-Star weekend by starting for Team Hill in the Rising Stars Challenge. He scored 16 points and helped his team to the victory Friday evening. Then on Saturday, he was in the dunk contest. Stephen Curry and his father participated in the Shooting Stars Competition. Curry also took part in the 3-Point Shootout and the All-Star game. He started and registered a double-double on Sunday. The Warriors also had a successful week as they swept a back-to-back set. Even without Andrew Bogut, they defeated the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday and the Houston Rockets in overtime on Thursday. After being traded for Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks, Steve Blake made his Warriors debut.
2-18-14: Well, at least the Lakers are not the worst team in the NBA. They faced the second-worst squad in the league, the Philadelphia 76ers, on Friday and beat them by 14 points. Although Jordan Farmar missed that contest due to a leg injury, Steve Nash scored a season-high 19 points. Then, the team struggled the rest of the week, but there were some good individual performances. Both Chris Kaman and Kendall Marshall double-doubled in the Lakers’ loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. On Tuesday, Kaman made it back-to-back double-double games for the first time this season as he went for 25 points and 14 rebounds. Kendall Marshall matched his career-high with 17 assists on Thursday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the Lakers encountered their franchise-record seventh straight home loss.
2-10-14: The Warriors had a solid week, in which they got themselves back to 10 games above .500. On Friday, Stephen Curry hit eight 3-pointers and scored a season-high 44 points in the team’s 95-90 win over the Utah Jazz. However, he made just one shot from downtown on Tuesday as the Warriors had their worst shooting night since 2004. The Charlotte Bobcats took Golden State down that evening by the score of 91-75. Then, the Warriors bounced back as Curry scored a game-high 34 points in their victory over the Chicago Bulls to close out their quick two-game homestand.
2-4-14: The Warriors are getting themselves into hot water near the bottom of the Western Conference playoff standings. On Friday, Stephen Curry’s 33 points and 15 assists were not enough as Golden State fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves, a team that is just a few spots back of the Warriors. Then on Sunday, David Lee recorded a double-double and Stephen Curry put up a stellar line of 38 points, seven rebounds and eight assists as the Warriors blew out the Blazers, 103-88. Although they lost to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, the Warriors completed their five-game homestand on a good note. The Warriors beat the Clippers by 19 points.
1-27-14: It was once again the Stephen Curry show this past week. Although the Warriors dropped two of their three games, Curry scored 89 combined points in those three contests. Golden State had a quick two-day, two-game road trip in Oklahoma City and New Orleans. They split those contests, as Curry registered his 18th double-double of the season in Friday’s loss to the Thunder and then scored a team-high 28 points in Saturday’s victory over the Pelicans. In their game on Monday, the Warriors missed 20 of their 30 attempts from 3-point distance, which led to them losing by eight points to the Indiana Pacers.
1-20-14: Led by David Lee’s terrific play, the Warriors have been enjoying a lot of success recently. He has averaged more than 20 points and 10 rebounds this month as the Warriors almost accomplished something that no other NBA team ever did before. Golden State was a four-point loss in Brooklyn away from sweeping a seven-game road trip. However, the Warriors bounced back two nights later with Stephen Curry hitting a game-winning jumper with 2.1 seconds to go to beat the Celtics. Interestingly, Golden State then made a three-team deal with the Celtics the following week, as the Warriors acquired Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks. The shorthanded Warriors then lost to the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night.
1-7-14: The Warriors impressively own
the NBA’s best current win streak. They have now won their last seven games after they went 4-0 this past week. Before embarking on a seven-game road trip against Eastern Conference opponents, they destroyed the Phoenix Suns at the Oracle Arena. In that Friday evening game, Stephen Curry posted his second triple-double of the season. Then, Curry almost put up another one on Sunday, as he accumulated 29 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists in the Warriors’ 108-104 overtime win over the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Then after the Warriors’ 13-point win in Orlando on Tuesday, Curry and David Lee combined for 68 points to beat the Miami Heat on Thursday.
12-30-13: The Warriors bounced back to have a fantastic week. They defeated the Lakers, Nuggets and Clippers. On Saturday at home, Andrew Bogut had arguably his best game of the season. In fewer than 30 minutes, he scored 12 points and grabbed a season-high 20 rebounds to help Golden State defeat the Lakers, 102-83. Then, two days later, there was a low-scoring affair at the Pepsi Center. Led by David Lee’s most points in a road game this season, the Warriors won, 89-81. On Thursday, Golden State rode Stephen Curry’s 13th double-double of the season en route to the 105-103 victory over the Clippers on Christmas Day.
12-22-13: The Warriors had a difficult week, and they are now in danger of falling below .500 for the first time this season. Golden State played three of its four games at home and finished with a frustrating 1-3 record. The Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by 11 points on Tuesday, but lost their other three games by a combined 10 points. The losses to the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns were understandable, but it must have hurt Warriors fans to see their team drop a home contest on national television to the San Antonio Spurs, who were without Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan.
12-13-13: Injuries continue to pile up for the Warriors, who remain above .500 with such a shallow roster. Jermaine O’Neal was the most recent culprit. The 35-year-old center, who has been no stranger to injuries in his career, is set to have arthroscopic surgery on a torn ligament in his right wrist. During this past week, Golden State lost two of the three games on a quick road trip and then came back home to defeat the Dallas Mavericks. With 43 points at Charlotte on Monday and 33 against the Mavericks on Wednesday, Stephen Curry has now scored at least 33 points in consecutive games for just the third time in his career.
12-7-13: The Warriors have once again been unlucky with injuries. This time, it is Andre Iguodala who remains out with a strained left hamstring, and the team is still waiting for Festus Ezeli to return from offseason knee surgery. In their absence, Golden State has had a solid start to the season. Recently, the team has struggled against better teams though. While the Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors, they lost in Oklahoma City and in Houston in the last week. It will be important for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to hold down the fort until they get their full team back.
11-28-13: After a hot 8-3 start, the Golden State Warriors have now lost four of their last five games. The only win in that stretch came against the struggling New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. At 9-7 and with Andre Iguodala sidelined indefinitely with a hamstring injury, the Warriors are struggling to regain their identity. With Iggy out, Harrison Barnes returns to the starting lineup and will need to show the type of growth he displayed during last year’s playoff run if the Warriors are going to turn things around.
11-22-13: The 8-4 Warriors are doing their best to survive the inevitable Steph Curry injuries that mount during the season. The addition of Andre Iguodala, a strong ball handler and creator in short spurts, has helped to somewhat minimize that risk. With Curry out Wednesday night (concussion) for the Warriors game against Memphis, Iggy stepped in to the tune of 14 assists. It wasn’t enough though, as the Grizzlies won their 11th straight game against the Warriors. The loss ended Golden State’s four-game winning streak, which included two wins over the Jazz, one over Detroit and a victory over OKC.
11-15-13: The Warriors got to 6-3 in week three by gutting out a nail-biting win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night, 116-115. Andre Iguodala was the hero with the winning jumper at the buzzer, as the Warriors stayed in first place of the Pacific Division. Golden State also received a scare earlier in the week when star point guard Stephen Curry hurt his often injured ankle, but he was able to return with it simply being a bruise.
11-8-13: Stephen Curry’s ankle woes appear to have reared their ugly head again this year, but Warriors fans can’t complain with their Golden State crew off to a hot 4-1 start. With four 100+ point games in five contests, the Warriors clearly are bringing offense just about every night, and any night that they’re on - it’ll be their game to lose. Golden State’s ultimate success rides on the healthy of Curry, but if he can keep his ankle issues in check, the Warriors should keep rising up the ladder out West.
11-1-13: The Warriors had an interesting offseason that included the acquisition of Andre Iguodala, but they lost Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry to free agency. Warriors fans are hoping that Toney Douglas will be able to fill Jack’s big shoes as the backup point guard to Stephen Curry. In Iguodala’s first preseason in Golden State, his shot was superb, so it will be great for his high shooting percentage and strong defense to continue. Another Warrior who had a great preseason was starting power forward David Lee, who shot better than 50 percent from the field and scored more than 15 points per game.
10-18-13: The Golden State Warriors are 3-2 in the preseason with two of those wins coming against the Los Angeles Lakers. They lost their opening game to the Lakers, though, despite 26 points from Klay Thompson and 15 points from Andre Iguodala. David Lee’s 31 points in the second game against the Lakers is the game high for the Warriors this preseason. The Warriors have two preseason games remaining:

9-5-13: The Warriors have agreed to a deal with Dewayne Dedmon. The undrafted free agent averaged 6.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a junior at USC. The deal is only partially guaranteed.
9-4-13: Warriors forward David Lee says he's 100% and feels like he's in the best shape of his career as he works his way back from hip surgery. "I feel no ill effects whatsoever," Lee said. "I actually feel a lot better moving around than I did even last year at this time."
8-23-13: After riding the hot shooting hand of Steph Curry through an impressive playoff run in 2013, the Golden State Warriors are ready to take it a step further this season. The signing of Andre Iguodala, the basketball version of a Swiss Army Knife, will provide a defensive and veteran presence that the young Warriors team was greatly lacking last season. Golden State signed Iguodala to a 4-year, $48M contract not just so they would get back to the 2nd round, but so they’d surpass it. The Warriors also added Serbian PG Nemanja Nedovic on draft night with the 30th overall pick and signed Toney Douglas, Marreese Speights and Jermaine O’Neal for depth.
The Golden State Warriors will open their home season schedule on Wednesday, October 30th against the Los Angeles Lakers. Steph Curry will get his chance at revenge against the San Antonio Spurs, who knocked them out of the 2013 playoffs, on Thursday, December 19th and once again on Saturday, March 22nd. Lob City and crew will make their way north for a Christmas Day game in Oakland and will return again on Thursday, January 30th.

6-12-13: The Warriors were one of the most explosive teams to watch this season in either conference. A huge highlight their season with a 54 point performance by Stephen Curry at Madison Square Garden. The Warriors also did not disappoint in the playoffs this year. Beating a higher seeded Nuggets team before falling to the later to be named western conference champs, the San Antonio Spurs. Steph Curry emerged as one of the elite scoring point guards in the NBA. He and backcourt mate Klay Thompson formulated what is known league-wide as ‘the splash bothers’ and they are taking opponents by storm. With David Lee and a healthy Andruw Bogut next season, it would not be a surprise to see the Warriors among the top teams in the west, next year.
11-26-12 Health continues to be an issue for this young and talented team. With their newest player, all-star center Andruw Bogut on the shelf for an indefinite about of time, the Warriors will continue to struggle defensively as they have in years past. Currently at 19th in points allowed per game, the Warriors still hold a winning record at 8-6. With early season signature wins against the Clippers and Hawks Steph Curry, David Lee and the Warriors will look to continue to improve as the season goes on.
