Injury Report: A Few Key Question Marks For Raiders This Weekend

So much for staying healthy after the bye week. The Oakland Raiders’ official injury list almost doubled this week from last, as eight players are nursing sore body parts. How that will impact Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals at the Coliseum is still not clear.

Raiders Offense Needs To Stay Wide Open Going Forward In 2014

In Week Six, the Oakland Raiders’ offense set season-high marks in total yards, passing yards and rushing yards. If this is Interim Head Coach Tony Sparano’s plan for staying competitive with a bad defense, it’s not necessarily a bad plan. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr had his best game of the year against San Diego, and the sky is the limit for the youngster going forward this 2014 season.

Tale Of The Tape: Arizona Cardinals At Oakland Raiders

The Cardinals continue to write a winning script, and the best aspect of their 30-20 victory over the Washington Redskins in Week Six was the return of quarterback Carson Palmer following his shoulder and nerve problems.

Next up for the 2014 Oakland Raiders: the Arizona Cardinals, the team currently leading the tough NFC West with a 4-1 record this season. The Cardinals aren’t a dominating team, however, and if the Silver & Black can play well for a second week in a row for once, they may have a shot at the upset at the Coliseum.

Grades: Raiders Can’t Hold On In 4th Vs. Chargers

The 2014 Oakland Raiders cam every close to getting their first win of the season on Sunday. In fact, they held the lead in the second half for the first time all season. But in the end, the San Diego Chargers’ offense was too much for the Silver & Black’s defense, and the Chargers escaped with a 31-28 victory over the Raiders.

Injury Report: Bye Week Helps Raiders Get Healthier For Week 6

The NFL bye week always is a welcomed sight for injured players, and the Oakland Raiders used their bye week to get a lot healthier—especially on the defensive side. This is good, as next up for the Silver & Black is a visit from the San Diego Chargers and their high-powered offense.

Opponent Profile: San Diego Chargers Present Big Challenge For Toothless Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have a new head coach, for now, and they’ve just had their bye week. How will they fare against the 4-1 San Diego Chargers at home this week? Well, the Bolts are on a roll, and they look very good. The exact opposite can be said of Silver & Black, so don’t expect things to suddenly get better for Oakland now that Dennis Allen has been fired.
