District Outlook
During the 83rd legislative session, Konni Burton had announced her intentions to run for the GOP nomination in 2014. Anticipating Senator Davis to announce a run for Governor, Arlington businessman and Arlington ISD trustee Tony Pompa announced his intention to run for the GOP nomination. On the Democratic side, a number of area State Representatives, including former State Representative Paula Pierson of Arlington.
