Surgeon arrested after 12 women die following sterilization procedure

A surgeon is now under arrest for the deaths of a dozen women. He sterilized them in a government sponsored procedure in India.

Dr. R. K. Gupta operated on 83 women in just six hours. It's horrific.

It's nearly three times the number of surgeries India's government recommends – and let's emphasize the Indian government supports sterilizing women.

Dr. Gupta spent mere minutes with each patient.

According to the United Nations, India carries out nearly 40 percent of the world's female sterilizations.

Officials are trying to the curb population growth there - it's the world's second most populous country with 1.25 billion people.

Sumnima Udas is OutFront from the village where the atrocity occurred.

ISIS claims new audio is from reclusive leader; says coalition efforts have been a "failure"

Earlier this week Iraqi intelligence said Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was dead or wounded from an airstrike. On Thursday, new audio was today on an ISIS social media account that claims to be of the reclusive ISIS leader.

If this latest audio is genuine, it appears to disprove reports that Baghdadi was killed last Friday.

ISIS leader purportedly says coalition 'terrified, weak'

In the 17 minute speech, distributed over jihadi websites, Baghdadi makes reference to events that happened after he was supposedly killed or seriously wounded.

Officials are now pouring over the new audio tape, trying to determine if Baghdadi is in fact still alive, where he is, and what he might be planning next.

Nick Paton Walsh reports.

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Republican Congressman Mike Rogers is OutFront with his take on al-Baghdadi
