Gabriel Resources Ltd. (listed as GBU on the TSX) is attempting to secure financing for its proposed open-pit gold mine in the Apuseni Mountains of western Romania. The proposed mine project has come under serious criticism from scientists, archeologists, economists, and environmental and human rights groups around the world due to a number of financial and environmental risks.
