The Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Ybor City has been sold for $14.8 million, according to property records.

Palm Beach-based Chatham Lodging Trust closed on the hotel on Nov. 17, according to a Hillsborough County deed filed Friday.

The 95-room hotel at 1700 E. Ninth Ave. was built in 1999, according to property records.

The transaction appears to have been part of a $964 million portfolio acquisition purchased by a joint venture comprised of Chatham and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. The seller was Chicago-based Inland American.

"NorthStar owns a 90 percent ownership interest in the joint venture, and Chatham owns a 10 percent interest. Chatham acquired its 10 percent equity interest in the joint venture for approximately $28 million," Chatham said in a statement.
